Discovering photographers and their work is really exciting. Here are some of my recent favourites, all of whom I find inspiring:

• Kyle Ford has a lovely series titled Second Nature about constructed or manipulated visions of the natural world.
• Richard Barnes has Murmer, a stunning collection of images of flocks of European Starlings.
• Emily Shur has a very impressive collection of photos of musicians and actors, as well as ad work and polaroids. I think my favourites are her images from Japan.
• Juan Buhler is a spectacular street photographer.
• Lorissa Shepstone has a really nice photoblog.
• The Big Picture is vital and always current; not the work of one photographer but images collected from the news wires and collated by Alan Taylor at the Boston Globe.
