Pedestrians walk past a billboard in Germany

I’m currently planning for a trip to Europe that is coming up in a few weeks, and it’s heaps of fun. I like to know the details – what planes we’ll fly on (I’ve mentioned my plane obsession here before), how fast the trains go, how to say “thanks” in Croatian (it’s “hvala”). Some friends at work recommended ITA Software‘s airfare search site, and I now recommend it too. It’s the best airfare search site that I’ve used. Although it won’t book the tickets for you, it’s a powerful way to find good prices for multi-segment journeys. Also of note is that pages for many airports on Wikipedia have a list of which airlines fly there from where, which can be extremely useful when you’re trying to find the cheapest fare to a smaller airport.
