No stopping, Sydney

When I took this photo (and these ones) I was interested in the bright colours against the blue sky and in the words ‘no stopping’ on the sign. I didn’t notice until I looked at the picture on my computer later that the building in the background has a burnt sign. Now, a couple of months later, I think that the burnt sign is what makes this picture.

This photo is one of 16 of my pictures that, from today, are in an exhibition at Coriole Vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Eight of the photos are on display at any one time and the pictures displayed will change over time. There are six photos from Sydney, six from Perth, and four from in between. The pictures aim to highlight the differenes in feeling between the major cities in east and west Australia. Coriole has excellent atmosphere and brilliant wine, so if you’re in or near Adelaide, check it out.
