First ski day of the season

Ski season 2013 has arrived! It snowed in Lausanne a few days ago for the first time this winter - just a light covering overnight that rapidly melted during the day. But it has been snowing lots in the mountains, and that is where Tanya and I and our friend Georgina headed today. We started off our season by going to Verbier. It was a stunning day with not a cloud in the sky. For this early in winter there was brilliant cover, and the snow conditions were fantastic. We skied until our legs were sore and then kept going. The season is shaping up rather well indeed!
